Lucy's Baby Blessing

I am so grateful for Allen and that he holds the priesthood and was able to bless our little girl.  

We are so glad Grandma Rena was here when Lucy was blessed.

My mom made this blessing dress when she was pregnant with me. It was my dress and now it is our sweet Lucy's The blanket was my mom's when she was a baby.  It was so special to have those items rich with heritage on such a special day.  

Christmas

This year before Christmas we went up to Columbus.  They had a great little Christmas celebration with lights, Santa, and a carriage ride.

Leo wasn't about to sit on Santa's lap.  He didn't really want to be that close, but we made him. He loved Santa from a far and on movies, but not close up.

 For Christmas Eve,we went to our friends the Jensen's.  Allie and Leo were the only Kids, so the Nativity was a little short lived, but we got one good picture of them dressed up.  

Christmas morning... Lucy wanted to keep sleeping.  

My amazing friend Kylie made us our BYU beanies.  

We had a wonderful time with Grandma Rena the whole week.  Although it is hard to be away from family, it is really nice when family comes to visit!

And since I was carrying my baby, he needed to carry his baby too.  

Nashville Thanksgiving and Birthdays

We had a great time in Nashville with the Phillips over Thanksgiving break.  It wasn't quite the Thanksgiving of Pies like last year (read here or here) but we still had a lot of pie considering the fact that we didn't have any Kitchens with us.  I think we still made 8 or 9 pies and then combined with another family to have a total of 12.  Not bad.  It was a lot of fun to be with Julee and Nate.  Leo loved being with the kids.  He just wanted to play football with them the entire time.  And Allen and I got to go on our first date since Lucy was born.  We went to Down town Nashville to the Honkeytonk Bars.  Leo had his first sleepover with the cousins.  He was die hard. I think he was the last one to fall asleep every night.  He was so sad when Isaac would fall asleep.  He would just keep saying, "Ikic, ikic?"  And then we celebrated Allen and Leo's birthdays.  Overall... Vacation was a success
