Next Stop Chicago...

Our goal was to make it all the way to Chicago.  I was a little intimidated to drive all the way to Chicago with the kids by myself.  It was a little stressful at times, but for the most part the trip went much better than I expected.  We are here visiting my sister who just recently moved from Nashville.  On our first day here the kids didn't have school so we headed into the city to go to a free museum.  It was raining on the way so we were a little worried.  But 30 minutes after we go there the rain stopped.  It was actually perfect because it wasn't crowded and the weather turned out to not be bad at all.  The kids had a really great time.  We just love being up here with our cousins!

Kentucky

Allen has a conference and a training back to back so instead of staying home, the kids and I decided to take a road trip.  Our first stop was Lexington Kentucky. Laura Krebs Bay, one of my best friends from college was visiting her family in Lexington.  We had a fabulous weekend with her and her family.  It was so fun to meet her sweet baby boy who isn't a little baby anymore.  We hung out around the house and then on Monday we went out to the Kentucky Horse park.  Leo loved the new toys, but mostly he loved their dog "Baby." We love Laura Krebs Bay so much!  Amazing how BYU has created so many life long friendships!

Pumpkin Patch Time!

Last Friday we went out to our Favorite Farmer in the Dell Pumpkin Patch.  We went with a few friends.  Leo had a great time feeding the chickens, playing with the corn, driving the tractors and picking out our prize winning pumpkin.  I love this time of year.  It was a beautiful night and a great time with family and friends!

Happy Birthday Lucy!

I am feeling a little bit nostalgic tonight.  I can't believe my baby is one!  We had a big day filled with doctor visits, shots, visits to the library, and a little party.  We just love this girl so much.  She brings so much joy into our family.  I can't believe it has been a year and I can't believe life ever existed before her.

It is pretty hard turning one!

Hmm... what is this

This is good!

Can't talk right now...

I think she liked it!
