Laurel was a little disappointed that I couldn't go to all of Women's Conference with her, but I HAD (Laurel would say CHOSE) to go to Alpine Days: my track stars final track meet. It is a two day district wide track meet and I am proud to say that all of my distant runners PRed (got a personal record) and a couple of them took first or second! Go OJHS!
The second weekend of May, Allen and I went to Mom's graduation. She started going back to school about 13 years ago and just completed her masters in Social Work. WAY TO GO MOM!!! We are so proud of you! We were glad that we were able to drive down to Tucson to be there for her graduation although I hope we NEVER travel through the night again! (Thanks Peter and Kristen for letting us crash at your house for a couple of hours.)
After graduation, we went out for dessert. Can you tell these two are siblings?
One of our favorite parts of the trip was hanging out with the Schafers where we were entertained by Matthew. He told us all about the Father and Son outing he went on. He said, "I went to Father Sons. There were boys and girls there." Later that night he put himself to sleep on the couch.
Memorial Day Weekend started out with FREE french toast at Macy's Grocery Store. We were the first ones there!!!!
We then went to my friend Tatia's wedding reception.
This is Mary, our amazing boss from the good ol travel office
Mrs. Granger
Allen looking oh so good
On Monday we enjoyed a relaxing day off. We also went to go see Prince Caspian.... Highly recommend going to see it as well as reading it.
My job during the last week of school wasn't teaching. It was basically crowd control. BUT the last day of school was awesome! My students know I am a big fan of High School Musical 2. In the movie the beginning scene is when school lets out for the summer and the they dance and sing a song about summer. We watched the clip and then my students chose parts. We chanted summer and then danced all throughout the halls to the music. I have some videos of my awesome students performing high school musical that I would love to post. Unfortunately, I don't think I am allowed to post any videos of my students online without parent permission. But I did get this email from one of my students later that day. "hey mrs sabey!!!!! today (the last day of school) was way fun!!!! it was crazy! but it was fun!!! haha. thanks for all the good times!!! =) next year will be fun!!! haha. we are so coming in to your homeroom next year too." Moral of the story: if you want to be the cool teacher, just reenact High School Muscial. Here are some other pictures from the last day of school.
This is awesome department. Unfortunately, Kathe (the one on the left) is going to be an administrator next year and Lindsey (middle) is moving to Scotland for her husband's graduate school program leaving me, a second year teacher as the veteran teacher... oh boy!
I am ready for summer wearing my students sassy glasses. Now I am thoroughly enjoying my summer vacation, even though I have been at school way too many times in the last week.
We also went to the Jordan River Temple for the first time. One of Allen's hobbies is to take pictures of all the temples we go to.

He has found that spring term has been a lot more intense than he thought. He is also looking forward to summer without taking classes. This is his last week of classes and then he has finals next week. He has also been working extra hours at the MTC in preparation for the new mission presidents seminar. Last Wednesday he went to Salt Lake City to hand deliver the Apostles' invitations for the seminar. That is coming up at the end of this month.
His Ultimate Team is doing well. He has games every Thursday and they are undefeated at the moment. He thinks their most challenging game will be this Thursday. We shall see....
Allen has also been enjoying watching the playoffs. We are both hoping the Celtics take it all.(Sorry Michael Fong).
That must have been a really great play because he is very focused
That is about it for the Sabeys. We are glad Richard and Jackie are back in Utah (even though Julee isn't happy about it). We are also looking forward to seeing Peter and Kristen when they come up for Collin's wedding. A count down chain is in the making!
We miss and love you all!

I have no comment on HSM. But it does seem your students really love you, and I'm glad you're doing so well :)
