Did you know that July 8th is Cow Appreciation Day? I didn't until my friend Julian told me. Friday morning Allen left to go to a youth conference. I wondered what Leo and I were going to do with ourselves for the day. Then our friend Julian called to tell us about this great holiday. She told us that if you dress up as a cow on Cow Appreciation Day you can get a free meal from Chic-fil-A. So Leo and I got our outfits set and we had our afternoon set. We didn't just go to one Chick-Fil-A... We went to 3. Why not stock up on free food? Leo and I didn't have to cook all weekend (Since Leo does so much cooking :). We just pulled out our chicken sandwich and fruit from the fridge. Everyone loved Leo. They wanted him to have something free too. Thanks Juliana for a great afternoon. We missed Allen but now that we know about this fabulous holiday I think it will have to become a family tradition!

Stephanie, Heather, and I had fun with Cow Appreciation Day in Utah. Too bad they don't have any Chik-Fil-As here in Iowa. :(

Fantastic! I love your brilliant idea of going to more than one place. We were just about set to go (I had the costumes all ready) when we ended up having to go to the ER instead when Nate got stung by a bee and had an allergic reaction. Maybe next year.
This looks so fun! I'm glad that you had something to do while Allen was away! My cousins all did this too, I wish I'd have thought about it, i'd have gone (we only have 1 chik fil a here, on campus, so I wonder if they even participated...)
