So yesterday I had an interesting day at Orem Jr filled with many lows and many highs. But even though Jr high students can sometimes be mean to each other and to their teachers, they do say some pretty darn funny things. In my fourth period class, we talked about the presidential elections almost the entire period. Throughout the entire discussion these were some of the highlights of the funny things that 8th graders can say.
After a student shared his dad's point of view on Obama someone asked, "Is your dad a conspiracy theorist?"
"Plus McCain is HOT!!!!!"
"I think Obama is like Hitler."
"Both of these candidates came out of no where!"
"What are you talking about? They both came from mothers."
And my personal favorite... "I don't like Obama because everything he is going to do is going to raise taxes for rich people and well... we are like rich!"
